Terms of Service
Last updated October 12, 2026
These terms cover your use of Canvas, the moodboard and client review service run by CRAATE (“we”, “us”). By signing in to Canvas or opening a review link, you agree to them. If you use Canvas for a company, you are agreeing for that company.
What Canvas is
Canvas lets design teams build moodboards and product lists, share them with clients through a private review link, and collect feedback and approval. Some features depend on your plan and on what your organization's administrator turns on.
Accounts and access
- Team members are added by their organization's administrator. Keep your sign-in details private and tell your administrator if you think someone else has used them.
- Clients open a review link and sign in with a one-time code sent to the email address their designer has on file. Do not share a link or code with people who should not see the board.
- Your organization's administrator controls who has an account and what each person can do.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into Canvas: pictures, product details, notes, comments, client information and the boards you build (“your content”). You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people you choose, only to run the service for you. You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload, including pictures and product information taken from retailers' sites, and for the accuracy of what you share with your clients.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Canvas to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to upload harmful or deceptive material.
- Do not try to access boards, accounts or data that are not yours, to guess sign-in codes, or to overload or interfere with the service.
- Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts others at risk.
The service
We work to keep Canvas available and your content safe, but we do not promise it will always run without interruption or errors. We may change or remove features. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, and use the export and print options for that.
Fees
Canvas is provided under the plan agreed between us and your organization. If fees apply, they will be set out in that agreement, and we will tell you before they change.
Ending your use
You or your organization can stop using Canvas at any time. We may end or suspend an account that breaks these terms. When an account closes, we will delete or return its content as described in the Privacy Policy, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Responsibility
Canvas is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount your organization paid us for Canvas in the twelve months before the claim (or, if nothing was paid, to the amount of one hundred US dollars). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will tell account holders, and the date above will change. Continuing to use Canvas after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States.
